Han class (Type 091)
Han class (Type 091) is a nuclear-powered submarine operated by PLA Navy, powered by PWR, derived from Soviet OK-150 of about 58 MWt. Operating.
China's first nuclear-powered submarine, developed after the Soviet Union withdrew its assistance during the Sino-Soviet split, essentially from scratch. It is the root of the entire Chinese naval nuclear programme that now includes the Shang and Jin classes.

| Thermal power per reactor (MWt) | 58 | 165 | 17 of 19 |
| Entered service | 1974 | 1997 | 3 of 17 (earliest first) |
Worked out from the entries on this site only, so a figure compares Han class (Type 091) with what is recorded here, not with everything that exists. An entry with no value for a measure is left out of that measure's ranking and median.
