Privacy and cookies
You can read every page here without accepting anything. There are no accounts, no forms, and no content embedded from other sites. Ads appear only if you choose “Accept all”.
What is stored whatever you choose
One item in your browser's local storage, nuclearchain-consent, holds your answer to the
consent prompt so we do not ask on every page. It never leaves your browser. The site itself sets no cookies.
What “Accept all” adds
Google Analytics sets cookies and records which pages are viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and the device and browser used. We use it only to see which pages are used so we know what to improve. Google Analytics runs only after you choose “Accept all”. Until then it is loaded with analytics storage denied.
Google AdSense then loads and shows ads. It and its advertising partners can use cookies and similar identifiers to choose, personalise and measure ads, and Google's own explanation of how it uses information from sites that use its services applies. The ad-related consent signals (ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation) are denied until you accept all, and stay denied if you choose “Accept required”, in which case the ads script is never requested.
What happens regardless
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as your IP address and browser type in order to serve pages and protect them from abuse. The live status pages (US reactor status, outages, earthquakes, news) fetch data from our own service and send no personal data to it.
Browser signals
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and you have not chosen yet, we treat it as “Accept required” and do not ask.
Change your choice
