Cameco Corporation
Cameco Corporation is a CAN company active in the nuclear fuel chain as miner, converter, fabricator.
The largest Western uranium producer, and one of very few companies present at three separate stages of the chain: it mines in northern Saskatchewan, converts to UF6 at Port Hope, and fabricates CANDU fuel. Since 2023 it also owns 49% of Westinghouse alongside Brookfield, which extends its reach to reactor supply and LWR fuel. Its McArthur River and Cigar Lake deposits are the highest-grade uranium orebodies on earth by a wide margin.
